The concept of ‘self’

Our ‘self’ is something that seems to reside within this organic vehicle which we call our body. The simplest concept of the ‘self’ is that it represents the ‘driver’ of the body that encapsulates it.

A little deeper digging though, suggests that we do not simply look out upon the world; rather, we are part of it. Our self, doesn’t just observe, it is a part of nature.

It is interesting to ponder the dance between the two bed-fellows - one being conscious attention and the other being a much deeper, ever present and observant counterpart.
